| My First War |
(co-directed with Douglas Katelus) A short time after September 11th, 2001, the drumbeat of war spread across TV screens and the streets of America were on fire. My First War chronicles the first 44 days of the War in Iraq; from the first bombs dropped in Baghdad, to President Bush's declaration of 'Mission Accomplished.' Narrated by a Gulf War One veteran, the film takes us through the spectrum of wartime media, and onto the chaotic streets of impassioned protestors meeting police resistance. My First War attempts to deconstruct a time when 80% of Americans agreed with the War in Iraq, and lends perspective to the current day as American troops continue to fight throughout the Middle East.
