The Kuang family of six rents two small rooms for $900 a month in a Chinatown S.R.O. For six years the entire family, minus newborn Jasper, lived in one cramped room in the same hotel. Mr. Liu, the husband of Ms. Kuang, is a part-time electrician and his salary barely pays the bills and puts food on the table. Shot for the San Francisco Chronicle.
